It is always especially nice to discover musicians like Jorma Kaukonen are as down to earth and as friendly as the next guy. I talked with Jorma about everything from Jefferson Airplane, to MerleFest 2017, to his Vietnamese Pho restaurant and music camp Fur (or Pho) Peace Ranch. We even cleared up a music festival misconception. Listen on to see why I Had to Ask.
I talked with the touring guitarist for Al Stewart, Dave Nachmanoff, we talked about his new concept album, Spinoza's Dream. We also talked about touring with Al, and playing with Libba Cotten, the inventor of "Cotten picking" guitar style. Not only is Dave a musician but he has a doctorate in philosophy so we even touched on living the virtuous life. Listen on to see why I Had to Ask!
